Mentoring and coaching to support young people’s success
Easy-to-use guidelines drawing from your own life experience
This 8-part series is aimed at anyone who would like to play a coaching-mentoring-supporting role to a young person around key issues that they may be grappling with (to understand how much that would mean to a young person click here).
While it is not necessary to use the resources in the order in which they are presented, there is some logic that these are the order of issues that may emerge as you embark on a longer relationship with a young person. In particular, everyone should read the piece entitled ‘Getting started – why and how to work with youth’. This will provide you with a good orientation to this new relationship. The remaining seven worksheets offer key talking points, top tips from others who have worked with young people, recommended resources, and case studies.
